004 - † My faith! ;ଓ

Since I was theee littlest girl, I practically grew up in church. I sang for the church choir every first Sunday of the month, attended youth Sunday, and got baptized by my grandfather. I always wanted to be included in anything that involved the church. During those years, I didn't actually know God. I knew of him but did not know him personally. What I mean is-- I didn't talk to him and read his word constantly. I was a little kid, not knowing what it really meant to actually know him. I knew and valued him enough that I didn't tolerate anything that was ungodly. As I got older, I was torn between living for the world and living for God. In middle school, I was the meanest girl ever but also wanted to love like Jesus (which is not possible)! I understood that I could only serve God or the enemy and I chose God in the end.

In middle school, I started having serious issues and I was at my lowest point. I didn't know what to do. I called out to God and together, we shaped my life to be better for me. I started having less problems and I was much more happier than before. But not for long...I started my first year in high school and got ahead of myself. I started talking to God less, stopped reading my Bible the way I should, and fell back into living for the world. Now, I wasn't doing anything terrible, I just drifted from God and started doing things without him while still claiming to be Christian. I became prideful and full of wrath--I understood why eventually. How could I do great things without God? I thought I could build a perfect life without him and it pushed me back to where I started.

As a sophomore, I started out strong, talking to God, reading my word and stopped listening to secular music. My mental health was better. I was again, happier than before. Now, this doesn't mean my problems went away complete--I had to deal with people who were worldly and did not want to see me win. I encountered people who were full of hate and envy. I lost nearly all my friends and I'm honestly happy about it because those same friends were the ones who were holding me back from serving my God and living a happier life away from the hate and evil. Now, I have a circle of friends who are followers of Christ and they've never steered me the wrong way and made my sophomore year worth it (shout out to you guys)!

With this upcoming school year, I spent the summer doing what God intended for me to do regarding him. Sometimes I felt lost and other times I trusted him (God always keeps his words, he never lies)! My summer has been peaceful even when the enemy tried to turn me the wrong way, I don't let them tempt me! I've made mistakes and hope to not make them again because I expressed wrath in a situation that I feel like I could've handle it better. I thought about myself first before thinking about God which is not what is good for me. My junior year, I hope to still accomplish things with God along side of me this time. Because of him, I have higher standards for myself in a godly way. He also contributes to my confidence, I feel prettier because he calls his children his best creation. He made us beautiful.

My walk with Christ may not look the same to yours or anyone else's and that's okay. I hope for the best for anyone who's reading this, God bless you, sweetcakes!

003 - Picture day as a cheerleader! :: ─ ۶ৎ

 Hi sweetcakes!

Today, I had pictures with my cheer squad! It was honestly so fun, I enjoyed being around a lot of the people on my team especially after not seeing them for majority of the summer! I took a bunch of pictures and I liked some of them. I didn't like all of them because I have thicker hair (locs) and for today's style, I chose to do a curled side part, which was a little problematic for the photographer because they weren't able to get a fuller picture of my face without my hair falling over my eye. So, the reason being why I didn't like them was because I had move my hair around and in the end I didn't like it but they took my pictures anyway.

When I first got there, I was really happy to see my coach and teammates again. I was nervous though because this was my first time taking professional pictures where I took the lead on what I was going to do. Normally, my coach and photographer chooses what poses I do--it's different now that I'm on varsity. I was all over the place and confused at first. Oh!-- Did I ever mention that I tried out to be co-caption for my team!? I'm so excited for the season!

THESE WERE SOME OF MY  INSPOS (NOT MY PICTURES)!

This is my first year as a varsity cheerleader after being on junior varsity for my first two years of  high school. I honestly hope its less drama than what it was on the jv team. I'll do a topic about drama within sports soon! I like the group of people that I'm around as I'm only doing fall season (football) which I honestly regret because I normally do both fall and winter season but I felt like I couldn't manage my time too well doing two seasons last year so I chose to just do one, sadly. I want to do both seasons but my work load is horrifying. Anyways sweetcakes, I'll tell you more about cheerleading in the future!

002 - Day in a life ♡⸝⸝

What do I do throughout my day especially during the summer?

To start the day out, I don't wake up and immediately get on my phone-- I've always felt like its not a good habit for me, especially with it being so early in the morning and having things to do. If I do pick up my phone in the morning, it's to read my daily Bible verse, nothing else. I sometimes lay there for a bit, pondering why I should even bring myself to get out of the bed... but then I start my day. First, I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I don't have an actual facial routine--I simply wash my face with face wash, moisturize really good and be done. I brush my teeth before eating because it makes me feel cleaner, which I'm pretty sure all people do.

For breakfast and in general, I've been trying my best to eat more healthier. So, I typically eat oats, a side of fruits, and if not a cup of water, then a cup of coffee! Depending on how I feel, I could make myself a big breakfast but on some days, I'd be so tired that I just find myself eating toast with Nutella and a cup of coffee.

After that, I move on with the day. I do my hair and find myself a cute little outfit. I'm currently writing this with curlers in my hair (ᵕ—ᴗ—). I look like someone's grandmother. Anyways, to be clear--I don't wear any makeup because first and foremost, I feel confident without it and I don't know anything about makeup nor know how to do it. I can't seem to handle being in the house for too long, doing absolutely nothing so if I'm not at cheer practice, I wander my way to either the mall or the bookstore!

Towards the end of the day, I simply study anything that I possibly can or read a book for awhile. Reading and studying can be draining for me sometimes so some days, I replace them with watching some of my favorite 2000s movies. Now before bed, I brush my teeth again and head to bed to get a good nights sleep! ^^

This is what I do throughout some days, I'm not too consistent with these things but I do them often when I can!

001

Hi sweetcakes! Welcome to my blog! ۶ৎ

My name is Lala! I'm a teenage girly who loves to speak about all the little lovely things that she's experienced throughout her life. This is my little internet place where I share my thoughts and interests, such as fashion, trends, hobbies, obsessions, and much more! I like to talk about a lot of the different things that makes me, me!

To my dearest readers, you've stumbled upon a look into the mind of a girl who believes that the world is completely sunshine and rainbows (it's not, lol). Someone who is still trying to make up their mind about their future. When not burying my head into books and school, I find myself reading, writing, or watching the most cutest movies ever!

Something about me is-- I play the viola! oh. my. gosh. I feel like not many people talk about playing the viola enough (at least around me). Everyone always seems to play violin or cello. I've played the viola for about 9 years now, i LOVEEE "Cliffs Of Moher" by Susan H. Day. It's so beautiful.

Anyways, enough of that. I hope I inspire a lot of the girlies my age or any age--to make their own blog. I hope what you take from this is encouragement and the mindset that you can do anything you put your mind to.
