Girlhood - 001

 Sweetcakes!!!

Can we honestly talk about being insecure? I feel like as teenage girls (or a girl of any age), insecurities seems to be the death of us. In most cases, girls compare themselves to other girls, wondering "why aren't I as pretty as her" or "I want to be like her". NO MA'AM! Don't compare yourself to anyone. You are perfect just as you are. I've been there, comparing myself to other girls and nothing good comes out it or benefits me in any type of way. You have to be confident in your own body and have the mindset that you're as equally good as everyone else. Be yourself. You don't want to compare yourself to someone who is pretty but has a evil heart. Being the kindest to yourself and others is better than being pretty.

I hated the feeling of being insecure. Those pretty girls who bully you and make you want to be like them or make you feel bad for being who you are?--You don't have nor need to be like them. Be better than them-- Stay humble about it but be better! Have a kinder heart, include those who are excluded, stand up for others when they can't find their voices. You don't have to be insecure because you're beautiful. Your mother did not carry you for 9 months just for you to compare yourself to someone who doesn't even have a heart like you.

Being on the internet also contributes to insecurities! If you're constantly checking a girls page, comparing yourself to her, UNFOLLOW HER! Follow people who don't make you feel insecure. If it comes down to it and it'll be hard but get rid of some social media apps to help you. Instagram and TikTok are the worse apps to be on especially because everyone feels so comfortable with being rude and bringing each other down over nothing.

You can overcome anything. I no longer feel insecure about my mindset, body, or anything about me. It's more peaceful this way. I've forced myself to say nice things about myself  in the mirror everyday and defend myself against people who want to bring me down. I feel comfortable in my body and my interests regardless of who tries to go against me. Be you! You're beautiful! There's no reason to be insecure about anything! Love yourself.

xoxo, Lala .
